In 2009  

The establishment of the International Alliance in Higher Education in Communication

In 2009, Communication University of China (CUC) initiated the establishment of the International Alliance in Higher Education in Communication. The Alliance has 65 members consisting of universities that are renowned for their communication programs. These are locatedin 23 countries across the world.



In 2010  

The Establishment of the Secretariat of the Alliance

In 2010, the Secretariat of the Alliance was set up at CUC. Relying on the alliance as a platform, CUC started organizing collaborative partnerships with first-class international universities renowned for their communication programs.



In 2014  

The birth of ICUC

On September 25,2014, the Faculty of International Media(ICUC), a Chinese-foreign education institution approved by the Ministry of  Education, was officially established during the International Forumon Communication in Higher Education. This took place at CUC’s 60th anniversary celebrations.

The first batch of Master’s Students enrolled in ICUC

In September 2014, ICUC enrolled the first batch of master’s studentsin animation.



In 2015

The first batch of full-time undergraduates enrolled in ICUC.

In September 2015, the first batch of undergraduates were admitted to ICUC. A bachelor’s program offering six majors, was launched between CUC and New York Institute of Technology(NYIT).

The first batch of full-time master’s students enrolled in ICUC

In September 2016, the first set of full-time masters students were admitted to ICUC. This master’s program was launched between CUC and Nottingham Trent University(NTU).

In 2018

ICUC moves to the Main campus of CUC

In August 2018, ICUC moved from the west campus to the main campus of CUC. ICUC is now located at Building 21.



In 2019

ICUC Celebrates the Successful Graduation of its First Batch of Students

In June 2019, the first batch of undergraduates graduated from ICUC.
